Papantonio: Anyone But Hillary In 2016

Mike Papantonio fills in for Thom Hartmann on The Big Picture to discuss the 2016 election, and how Hillary Clinton would be a terrible choice for a democratic candidate. Joining Pap in this segment is Farron Cousins, executive editor of Trial Lawyer Magazine.

Not once did Pap say, "Anyone But Hillary In 2016".

But that didn't stop you from maligning him using three pictures of right-wing a-holes.

Disgusting.

Those a-holes are disgusting.

And I think if he had to Pap would hold his nose and vote for HRC given the alternative. As will I if it comes to that.

How about Larry Summers? Joe Lieberman? Max Boughtkus?

I can think of leading Democrats who would excite me about as much as Mrs. Clinton does.

DiFi (my erstwhile Senator) is over 80 years old; it's been about that long since Mr. La Rouche was last taken seriously . . . by his mother after he bribed her; you might have a point with Ms. Landrieu.

H. Clinton needs to answer to everyone of those turns including Obama's right turns; talk about baggage!

...considering her $400,000 speaking fees from two speeches given to the banking industry, where she said (among other things) that it was counterproductive to be so hard on the poor, poor bankers.

And you think she's really going to be a friend to the left?

She's their choice. Not mine.

P.S. I'm noticing a trend on DU, that several members (who I suspect are Obama and/or Clinton operatives) are trying to "clear the field" for Hillary to run unopposed for the nomination. In my view, she's not entitled to anything - she needs to earn the nomination. It was hers to lose in 2008, and she lost it in part because of complacency (she expected to score an electoral knockout on Super Tuesday, and grossly underestimate Obama).

Wall Street! Hillary still represents corporate America. Even if she gets the nomination she needs someone on the Left to pull her farther left. I am not bashing her per se, I would vote for her vs any Republicon. We need Bernie to bring up Campaign Finance Reform and Publicly Funded Elections. We need our Representative Democracy back as opposed to politicians only representing those who supply the bulk of their campaign dollars. This is what is wrong with our country and keeps us out of step with Progressive governments. We need someone with the guts to break up the oligopolies like the big banks and the media conglomerates.
