Thom Hartmann laughingly mocks "democracy & the rule of law!" on Russia's RT channel

?t=2m23s

Listen, at 2:05, to his voice as he jeers at Ukrainians who want an alternative to Putin's totalitarianism, and remember that Hartmann has refused to say how much $$$ he gets from Russia Today (paid for by the Russian government) for hosting his show. It's sick and sad that this is the best of the progressive talkers but he's in the pocket of a neocon, anti-progressive force like the dictatorship in Russia. Shame on him, and sad for the US.

If I were a Ukrainian I'd probably be asking myself the same questions.

If you look at what the EU austerity did to Greece:
The lose of medical coverage.
Drop in pensions.
Selling off of public goods and commons.
The increase in the suicide rate, hunger and homelessness.

You see that it's a damned if you do damned if you don't choice for the Ukraine. Not the longing to get be free BS, the media is selling here because it sounds so good. There is plenty of propaganda on RT, but it's not usually on Thom Hartmann show.

He uses their Washington studio to do his independently syndicated show on the radio and freespeech tv. They chose to have him do a show on their network because they liked the content. End of Story!

It's extremely naive to say that's the "end of story." Take off your fan hat and put on your thinking cap.

...and the point needs to be reiterated that Hartmann, not RT, owns The Big Picture.

He's in nobody's "pocket".

And, what other network will put on a show like his or have on the guests he has? Personally, I'll take him or anything put out by MSN-BS.

In case anyone has any illusions or missed anything I've said on this matter, I am not Putin partisan.

The sad fact is that Ukraine is surrounded by vampires offering to help her stop the bleeding: Russia, the EU and the US. None of those entities give a rat's ass about the Ukrainian people. All they want to do is to bleed Ukraine and enrich either corporate oligarchs in the case of EU and the US or Putin and his cronies in the case of Russia.

The vampires are only interested in feeding on the blood of the common people of the world. They haven't yet figured out on what they will feed one once the global middle class is bled dry. These vampires are our enemies as well as the enemies of the Ukrainians and the Greeks and the Spaniards and the Irish. We, meaning all of us, must drive a stake through the heart of each one of them. Never mind the politicians. They are just Renfields in this Dracula story.

We must stand up for each other. There is no point in working with the Draculas or the Renfields. To save the Ukraine, we must work around them. To save ourselves, we must destroy them.
