Yay Cops.... Yes, Another Beating Caught on Tape... CHP Beats Woman Down

A California Highway Patrol officer was caught on tape punching a woman on the side of a Los Angeles highway on Tuesday. The video posted on YouTube shows the cop pursuing the woman on foot past an I-10 on-ramp. Those recording it can be heard laughing at first as the incident appeared to be somewhat bizarre -- lady wandering near freeway and truck pulling away.

But the laughs quickly subside as the cop grabs the woman, who is either pulled down or falls to the ground, and then repeatedly punches her. CHP says the officer asked the woman to stop, but she refused and continued to walk away from him.

Because walking away from an officer means you deserved to have your head beaten in at full force... ya know?

I'm beginning to think this is Roid Rage, abusive use of steroids to feed the perceived need get stronger.
Putting the military equipment and militaristic thinking being pumped into our peace officers aside for a moment; I'm talking about the explosive and violent bouts of anger so often seen.

The police are not supposed to judge suspected offenders, that function belongs to the Justice Department. They also are not the dispensers of public punishments, that is the job of the Corrections Department. The basic functions of law enforcement is to investigate crimes, gather evidence, and present suspected breakers of laws to the Justice Department with the minimum amount of force needed. If, due to psychotic rages caused by a systemic substance abuse problem, law enforcement can no longer follow the minimum force, public punishment, and determination of guilt guidelines. We have a huge fucking problem.

1) She could have been deaf, they weren't going to know at that point.

2) She was not reacting any other way outside of protecting the blows to her head

My thinking is the dudes with those state licensed uniforms are just more nuts with guns. Who they work for and what they are supposed to be doing has no effect when they are operating in lizard brain mode.
