re-post from GD: Kate Logan talks about her documentary "Kidnapped for Christ."

I watched this interview on PIVOT this morning.
Kate Logan, a Christian Evangelical, began this project excited to show what the parents of a "troubled teen" could do to help them on the road to goodness.
What she found as she followed along was enough for her to question her religious upbringing.
She witnessed the abusive treatment of the teens, removed from their homes & taken to the camp, never knowing when they would ever leave.

I happened to catch this show flipping channels & this interview shines a bright light on the abuses these kids go through for often, no reason but being a teenager.
Hope Kate Logan's documentary opens dialogue with parents & I hope her pursuit of legislation to regulate is successful.

Kudos to Kate Logan.
MUST SEE

How disconnected is a parent to send your child into the hands of someone simply because they say "Christian based"? Google is your friend if you approach your search with a discerning mind.do some research.
Believing everything someone tells you is not good enough to hand them your child. And a check for $40,000.
Shocking & sickening
