There would be a Coca-Cola sponsored short film made by amateur filmmakers... Essentially Coca-Cola commercials. I had the sweet idea of two SUVs pulling up in the dead of night to a creepy old cabin. A bunch of kids would pour out of them, and there would be two groups - typical party dudes and dudettes, and they would be showing how stoked they were to be out in the wilderness while the other kids would be more grounded and looking at each other as if to say, "Is this for real?" As the party kids started unloading, the other kids would say, "You know what? We're going to go back to that last town and get a motel," and they would leave to the derision of the party people.
Then would follow a cut-back-and-forth between the two groups. The party kids would obviously be in trouble from some unknown Jason type holding a knife, while the other kids would be in a diner drinking Coke and having fun. And they would be hooked up together by typical horror movie tropes and their fun equivalent. A close up of a party girl screaming at the camera and then the flash of a knife would cut to a flash of a camera and someone saying, "One more," while another girl mugged for the camera. Someone running and falling down in a mud puddle then rolling over and looking at something coming at him would cut to ice cubes being dropped into a glass of Coke. Blood splattering on a wall would cut to someone's ketchup bottle malfunctioning and splattering him as he tried to put it on his burger.
The end of the film would be a pan out from the diner, showing it as a quaint small one with big windows on a corner with a neon Coke sign high on the wall above the entrance. The Coke music would start playing then dip into a minor key as a shot of a person's body (close up of the hand holding a knife) would move into half the frame looking at the diner from a distance then return to its happy key as he left.
I really wanted to make that film.
