But there was an article on quotes from republicans (after a loss in an election - state or federal) dating back to the 90s, and same phrase was always used when it came to minorities and women... something like needing to create a bigger tent... They always said the same thing over and over about the need to attract these voters, but they never did.

I know you were basically making a casual comment rather than an analysis of hard data, but it reminded me of something I read a while back about IQ test results (not perfectly equating with actual intelligence but at least worth something). IIRC, both men and women show mean and median IQ scores of 100, distributed in a bell curve. The difference is that men have a higher standard deviation. As a result, men are overrepresented in both the high-IQ (140 or above) and low-IQ (60 or below) groups.

The turtle is wedged between Ms. Grimes and a hard place - the hard place being the millionaires he's underwritten by. How long before he tries to find some "dirt" on Alison? The Dems should monitor what's going on at the lower levels cause you can BET there's gonna be some under-handedness in play before one of these two admits defeat!

Did anyone see a real outreach effort to women? Or latinos? Or blacks?

Anything Republican pitchmen had to say to these groups was drowned out by the actions of Republican politicians.

Any outreach to Republicans attempted was drowned out by misogynist legislation aimed at limiting a woman's right to make her own medical decisions. Any outreach aimed at the racial minorities was drowned out by racist voter ID legislation.

On top that. any outreach to women and racial minorities by Republican pitchmen from the RNC was drowned out by the most visible and loudest Republican pitchmen of all, the racists and misogynists on FoxNews.

...having a woman, a Latino, or a black SAYING their hateful, racist, misogynistic horse puckey, or having one stand BESIDE them as they say their hateful, racist, misogynistic horse puckey. That's about as inclusive as most of the GOP's progressive types can get, while their old guard ... oh, wait! ... that is their old guard. Their newer recruits are feral wolverines, jackals and rabid skunks.

When asked why the party is doing worse with female voters than in 2010, Priebus argued that the GOP can close this 10-point gap by ramping up outreach and focusing on the economy.

Who Will Win the U.S. Presidential Election, Forecast 2012
ElectionOracle / US Presidential Election 2012 Oct 27, 2012 - 06:15 AM GMT

By: Nadeem_Walayat

The final countdown to the U.S. presidential election has now begun with expectations that there is little that each candidate can now effect on the electorate during the remaining 10 days. Most opinion polls currently put Romney slightly ahead of Obama i.e. ABC 50/47, BBC Poll of Polls 49/47, Gallop 48/48. However the high margin of error of as much as +/ -5%, and typically +/ -3% compounded by the electoral college system makes all of these opinion polls unreliable in trying to determine the US election outcome, therefore this analysis is focused on key events that impact on determining a probable forecast for the US presidential election 2012.

It wasn't just a Fox lie. It was an American media lie, widely propagated, imo, to influence the voters in favor of Romney.

And these were the polls widely propagated by all media.
