8. It's weird that they act like they are in charge

They are not until January. I really think Reid needs to remind them of that.

2. So this is how totalitarian government works . Like the Godfather said in the movie , " make them an

offer they can't refuse " . We are dealing with Mafia style gangsters here not representatives of
the people . May they burn for eternity .

17. They're not citizens.

A small number of citizens have been deported over the years. These were naturalized citizens, whose naturalization was revoked based on a finding of fraud in the process. (It seems that some Nazi concentration camp guards who came here after World War II were less than candid about their roles in the Holocaust.) Once the naturalization is revoked, the person is no longer a citizen and can be deported.

When TPM refers to "5 million Americans" it means people who are actually here but who aren't citizens.

4. Really

I am saying this sarcastically---but please do, show the American people what you are all about and while you contemplate this fiasco, you and all the others that are contemplating this act of war against the American people, you also don't get paid and you also get a credit score of zero, and you have no access to any cash, bonds, or other gains while you were the congress, its frozen, no lunch, no gym, no other free perks, nothing.
So, if people on Social Security and other government programs have to go without and they then have to explain to the lenders what is going on, then, you, you little right wing hypocrite should be in the same tub as everyone else and explain yourself and how you are trying to force everyone to drink your brand of Kool Aid. :

6. GOP are against government

why would they care if they shut it down?

And what exactly do they expect to accomplish? That a shut down government is going to deport people?

Yeah, I guess I don't really have to pay my rent and could go a couple weeks without eating. I might lose some weight.

I think it should be changed from "doing the same thing over and over" to simply "Congress ".

15. Media Never Points Out That Nothing Stops Republicans from "Fixing" Immigration

Since they now have both House of Congress. Of course, they would rather just complain and blame President Obama for not doing anything.

21. Republicans will only take this nation backwards as did G. Bush

The Republicans hate the future for this nation. All they are doing is destroying it. But the voters elected them for this purpose. The GOP is the real ISIS of this nation.
