The way cops are today I would never try this even as a white guy. If he had been black and tried this, he would probably be dead with 50 bullets in him.

1. I always try to act very carefully around the police

I don't do anything to provoke them as they are as unpredictable as wild animals as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't even draw a banana. Some of them are very quick to draw their guns. I had cops draw their guns on me, throw me on the pavement, and handcuff me just for sitting in my parked car outside my girlfriend's house waiting for her. I don't get stopped much but when I have, I always put both hands on the wheel as they approach me from behind and warn them if I'm about to reach into my glove compartment. Some cops have looked very scary to me, wide-eyed and nervous. I'm scared of cops and if I were a cop I'd be scared of the public, with so many crazy people with firearms out there. Too many guns in our society.

2. I wouldn't even take out my wallet without moving very slowly around cops.
