enough to take everyone down with him.

It is easy to collude with one another when you're on top of the decision-making ladder and control the media. From that vantage point you might think that your comrades will always remain loyal to the plan. But when it all starts falling apart and the one thing they had going for them-loyalty-no longer is the glue that holds them together, it will be impossible for them to see that what they were doing was anything but criminal.

Cheney will likely be called upon by political talk shows to offer his wisdom on security matters for as long as his black heart keeps functioning, and GW can relax on his ranch and paint himself in his bathtub to his heart's content.

I say never forget but it seems that most Americans are only worried about Benghazi or O-bama Care.

Are we to feel sorry for him, that Cheney was the president and W was the puppet patsy all along?

Just to be safe, put them both on trial. Better yet, put their whole administration on trial. We all know it, they're guilty of war crimes.

... waiting for ANY of those trials. They won't happen - not in Cheney's lifetime, not in Dubya's, not in yours, or mine or our great-grand-children's.

I'm beginning to think that it might actually be the best thing for President Obama to issue them both pardons. Because, at the very least, if they receive pardons for their War Crimes (if they are pardoned, their offenses MUST be specified), they will go through the rest of their lives with the label "War Criminal".

Otherwise, they just slide. As things stand now, their histories can, conceivably, be whitewashed, and they could be buried with honors, rather than in shame.

"We have never used torture". He very plainly said, a year after torture was authorized, "we DO NOT torture." Present tense. Perhaps they stopped then, perhaps not. But Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, at least, and probably many, many others, in my opinion, authorized these practices that have come to light. There may be many other horrible tactics which are in the original full report.

Yes the full 6,000+ page report surely has lots of more and more heinous incidents. But considering how this report was put together even the full report doesn't contain but a 1/3 of the crimes that went on.

The is a post in DU - 12 things to know about the report- that shows that there were no interviews, contractors got to go through emails before the investigative and when the did get access it was at one computer in one location, etc in

Bush is stupid enough to let Cheney throw him under the bus! Cheney is the real mastermind behind all of it (Bush's Brain), and he is playing the part of the "happy warrior" (sorry HH) because he knows that no matter, he is untouchable (and Eric Holder will back that up). He would be more than happy to fall on his sword, but he doesn't have to.

Another Republican dilemma and the Russians maybe rolling in choice Metadata files Snowden released in the wiki files.

It’s my guess but way too long the Snowden scandal has been too silent, something is going on. As Bush said money trumps peace.

It is my hunch Snowden will roast Bush and Cheney via supplying the Russians with valuable emails that suggest Bush as close friends of the Arab Bin Laden family did commit to special favors.

Special torture for those certain individuals, not to save lives, but to profiteer via oil deals to torture in very cruel ways to make Arab oil money…

The Arabs wanted special people to talk and confess crimes against the Royal family.

Many call that treason, trading with the enemy…

He probably feels, strongly, that fingers are going to get pointed at his snarling visage before too long. He probably also feels that there's not a lot of love in DC for him. Dumbya actually has a better rep, because he's had the good sense to stay the hell out of politics since he left the WH. He hasn't gone out of his way to be critical or second-guess.

Some of you may remember that old Caspar received a PARDON from George H. W. Bush .... before he was even convicted of anything!!!!

http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/?pid=20265

The story goes that old Cap said "If I go down, I'm taking you with me!" And thus, GHWB got out his CLEMENCY pen!!!!

pivot to see how Obama can be blamed for this.

The entire world is talking about this and laying this right at Bush's feet (as is apparently Dick Cheney!). It is just beyond me how minutes after the report was released, DU immediately began screaming at the current president (the one who ended the practice) while being ASTOUNDINGLY quiet about the last president (the one who started it)

But it is almost sad that he was simply a means for Dick to play king. Of course, what scares me about Jeb is that, unlike Dubya he actually WANTS to be king, and would engage in crap just to yell at Darth vader down the hall and say "See, I do not need you, stop breathing down my neck Dick!" And of course, heart attacks happen, and I would NOT put that past Dick, especially if jeb Picks Liza cheney for the running mate.

Liza Cheney's overtures to the LGBT community were a trial balloon, taking advantage of the fact the Democrats have dragged their foot. How much you wanna bet that if Liza goes for it, she flashes both her gender "See, I am a woman too!" and the fact that she is slightly less hateful of LGBT than the rest of the party..
