1. The 1986 Chernobyl Disaster
proved the lie (countless ways) that was the Soviet Union: the cover up, the technological failures, the response, etc., etc.
But according to Gorbachev's memoirs, after the Chernobyl disaster, he (and others) realized that a nuclear war was unwinnable. This is a classic interview - thank you so much for posting. |

I think US need to listen to this guy - Gorbatsjev I mean - as he know a few things about not listen to the pepole - and end up as a leader withouth a country.... even if he had the best intentions with his perestroika and glasnost... The way the US act now - they tend to do it worse than USSR ever did it under communism... Also on a faster rate I would point out.. Diclotian |
