This reminds me of a story I read about Andre Previn, famous symphony conductor who was writing movie music at MGM when he was sixteen years old. He was playing the piano for a silent movie, and he said the locations in the movie kept changing, so the movie was probably "Intolerance" by D.W. Griffith, which had four different stories going.

He said he was merrily playing the Twelfth Street Rag, looked up and they were staging the crucifixion of Jesus.
So he got fired.
