What I found every bit as interesting (actually, more so) was the story behind why the attack happened in the first place. VICE delves deep into Climate Change issues that are undeniably affecting the world we live in.

Did you even watch the video?

Though no one deserves to die in such a horrific way, Treadwell recklessly and repeatedly ignored the advice of many, many experts; putting not only himself, but others in danger.

The group in this video adhered to every precaution advised by the Canadian Park Service at that time.

The Park Service has since had to update their information to reflect the dire implications of climate change on Polar Bears. In a very short span of time, Polar Bears have been coming further inland than ever before. This is a gross aberration of their normal behavior, and indicative of the fact that they are in serious trouble.

5. yes I watched the video, had read of this before, my comparison was because of bears

2 different types, yes, and 2 radically different ways of approaching them, of treating them. That was my obviously poorly expressed point.

Treadwell was an idiot, and I do not often call people that. These people were not.
