Sen. Elizabeth Warren Calls for Amendment to Overturn Citizens United

Published on Sep 8, 2014

Senator Elizabeth Warren delivered a speech on the floor of the Senate on September 8, 2014 in support of a pending Constitutional amendment, introduced by Senator Tom Udall (D-NM), that would give Congress and individual states the authority to regulate campaign finance and rein in money pouring into our political process.

Since Dems announced yesterday that they are going to be introducing 12 other bills to push back "Citizens' United."

Plus, look at the growth of Grassroots and Organized Citizens' Interest Groups involved on the ground in states now..

Donations by the 99%
$313,000,000 divided by 3,700,000 people = $84 per person.

Compare that to:

Donations by the 1%
$315,000,000(slightly more per Liz's comment) divided by 32 people = $9,843,750 per person.

Conclusion:
Divide $9,843,750 by 84 to determine the ratio. The result? 117,187.5 to 1. We, the common people, you know the 99%, are outnumbered approximately One Hundred Seventeen Thousand to ONE!!!
You, me, the 99%, are totally outnumbered. Does anyone see a problem with this? Liz does. I do.

That fact alone should be sufficient evidence that Citizens United must be stopped.

Liz is right on. Kudos girl!!!! You have my 110% support. Thank God she came along when she did.
