Lennon was the best of the Beatles. JMO.

(7,875 posts)Ever really listen to all that bland crap Paul McCartney put out after he went solo? John Lennon was the only one whose solo work came close to holding up next to the Beatles.
I always loved this song, too. It's maybe my favorite of John's solo stuff.

(2,646 posts)played to the bubble-gum crowd. Never was much for bubble gum myself.
Imagine is one of my favorites of Lennon.
The one here will join that list.

(7,875 posts)(Songs about playing shows, songs about going to shows, songs about writing songs) Paul violated that one over and over.
The other one I hate is the 'tour song'- The one that always ends up just being a list of the cities they played last time around, broken up with a slogany-sounding chorus. I'd guess a good 50% of the music universe is guilty of that one.

(618 posts)Particularly the "Cherries Album". I hadn't listened to it in years. Classic McCartney...
Thanks again...
