Culture In Decline

This opening show addresses the coming 2012 US Presidential Election and the subject of what we perceive as "Democracy" in the world today.

About:
"Culture in Decline" is a satirical yet serious expression that challenges various cultural phenomena existing today which most of society seem to take for granted. Nothing is considered sacred in this Series except for a detached benchmark of fundamental logic and reason - forcing the viewer to step out of the box of "Normality" and to consider our societal practices without traditional baggage and biases. Common themes include Politics, Economics, Education, Security, Religion, Vanity, Governance, Media, Labor, Technology and other issues centric to our daily lives.

really that significant or I would not have posted it. Consider it a retrospective and the general, provocative points are the main thrust.

Also, it just so happens to be the first in a rather diverse series of topics as the description notes.

Meanwhile, the onus may be upon us who are opening our minds to the nature of this current system and our own, often subliminal indoctrination into it, to consider our relationship to what might result from the process.

Peter Joseph uses the term emergence and I think that may be applicable in this phase of our transition. An emergent and new way of utilizing our potentials and discovering a more conducive and balanced relationship to our environment and each other may be on the horizon.

To what degree we are able to recognize and align ourselves, (mentally, emotionally, physically, etc.) with the culmination of the systemic discord fomented by structural assumptions at the very root of the current paradigm, may be influential in determining the pace and initial impact of our collective recognition and alignment with natural laws and available resources.

Once a clear and irrefutable connection between our current social sphere and the physical laws that it exists in, then a potential abundance of benefits and an obvious and irrefutable correlation that motivates our species can both emerge and initiate much needed resolutions to the human condition. The rewards implied by an emergent approach can provide a sufficient and expanding influence that relies more on open cooperation than a strenuous effort to force the fruition of this shift. In fact, moving from punitive to a focus on benefits and rewards will create a compelling inducement for involvement when it becomes clear that what you do and contribute is actually going to return to you as a benefit rather than just as a small piece of the profit for some vested interest.

At this stage, even cynicism or disdain for ideas like these can be useful since they are merely the catalysts to an extremely dynamic momentum taking shape below the surface. What is most useful is simply exposure to a more inclusive, comprehensive and intelligent view and reaction to our world and species in general.

''There are no political solutions to society's social problems, only technical ones.''

With today's technical capabilities, anything is possible. Creating stand alone habitats that can operate outside the grid is key. Some have begun experimenting with the possibilities:
