2. The difference between the right wing media and real journalism

The Post publishes both liberal and conservative views. I like the balance. And when wingnuts like Strain air their views, it does more good for progressives than censoring them.

22. I agee, and...

...the death panel was an Outlook opinion piece - clearly not hard news journalism. The post Covered the 20% cost reduction and other positive facts in the real news section.

The final result is a pic of the moment that graphically demonstrates the contrast between reality and right wing ideology resulting in a net loss for the right wing extremists.

3. Republicans seem to be really ok with people dying

as long as they're not among them.

5. During the Irish Potato Famine...

One conservative MP was told a million Irish could die.

His response: That's not nearly enough to do any good.

(Ref: The Great Hunger by Cecil Woodham Smith)

Conservatives just never change.

7. But at least they'll die free!

I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees. Or something like that. Acually, I imagine Mr Strain would rather you die on your feet.

25. It wouldn't be the first time that an article had been given a sensationalist clickbait title

The person who writes the article usually isn't the person who writes the headline, and it's quite common for headlines to exaggerate what the article actually says in order to drive more traffic to it. However, this was not the case here.

9. Republican Scroogism: "If they be like to die, let them do and decrease the surplus population."

"But, Mr. Scrooge, people could die!" "That's okay, 'cause I'm a Republican. Have you read Atlas Shrugged?"

10. Why are sociopaths so proud of themselves?

You figure even if he couldn't tell he was going to look like a supervillain, someone would have mentioned it to him when they read it over.
