Just remember that we who are stuck with the "elders" label all went through the 60s when we blew the lid off all the sexual taboos respected by our parents.

that so many of them were ok with it. I would have been like the guy who said he wasn't interested in the least to see it. I haven't read the book either, but that was because I thought it was just a sex romance novel. I wasn't aware that it was S&M until recently when everyone was talking about the movie.

Yes, I am old and I don't really give a shit anymore. I am sure that I would have read it when I was younger. But from what I have heard of the movie, I doubt I ever would have bothered. But none of this shocks me.

I'd have flung it across the room propelled by a series of words that would have shocked the hell out of anybody in earshot. I have no patience for stuff that ends up on bad porn sites.

I might have seen the movie, if only to come up to speed after not being able to hold my nose long enough to read the bad fiction.

Even at 18, my critique would have been feminist and rude.

… THEY had to see the movie. They thought it was great, but couldn't believe it got away with "R" and not "NC17". I've really been enjoying THEIR take on it.

Until now, I figured the book was a good read, but I guess it's not after seeing this. So, the movie? I'd see the movie. I'd encourage a watch through "on demand" with my significant other, don't you know.

Once a liberal…

....Sorry to burst your bubble, kids, but we elders as we're called have been there, done that and got the tee shirt to prove it. We survived the 70s for goodness sakes.

The older you are, the more familiar with sex you are. Sex is not something that goes away.

As an old person, I find the idea that old people reacting to "sex" is cute very dull and essentially patronizing.

Never read it, don't intend to, don't intend to see the film.

This video is, however, hilarious!
