2. Other Excuses By Repug Senators Who Are Regretting Signing This Letter To Iran....

I got to thinking like Dave Letterman and his nightly Top Ten List and I'd like to start off some other excuses for these Repug Senators here. I'll start it off - but I know that members here at DU are very creative and will come up with others.

Excuse No 10: The dog ate my homework

Excuse No 9: I thought iRAN was a new Apple product.

Ok - get the idea - let's see if we can help the Repugs out here with more excuses. Post them in this thread.

That's about the extent of the mentality of some on the other side if the aisle. I'm surprised any of 'em can spell the word "Iran."

I'm pleasantly surprised that there's been such a huge backlash against them on this particular issue - this particular COLOSSAL BLUNDER. Correction - YET ANOTHER COLOSSAL BLUNDER. I'm surprised they're taking it in the shorts and some of 'em are backtracking. And when the late night comedians start chewing on it, they're officially confirmed as a National Laughingstock. They deserve nothing less.

Short lived. Cotton and other GOp idiots show up on Sunday morning and MSM downplays them and they're heroes by noon.

even though I've worked locally on his campaigns. All things considered, however, I think history will treat him as a truly exceptional POTUS. His obvious intellectual superiority and remarkable cool under unprecedented disrespect from the increasingly desperate Republicans is truly amazing. All previous Democratic presidents since LBJ (who would have ripped their guts out and barbecued them), have faced increasing disrespect and obstruction from the "loyal opposition," culminating in the Clinton impeachment. The more the Repugs are thwarted, the more deranged they become. Way past time for a thorough cleansing and a new start focused on governing that is long overdue for their party. Instead they keep electing crazier crazies and deferring to these relative newcomers.

I don't agree with some of Obama's appointments either. But he is so far above the racist hate mongers that it's clear to me that he doesn't take their contemptuous disrespect personal. He knows, who he is and that he has done his very very best every single day to work to protect and rebuild this country. I suspect that if anything he feels sad for the hatemongers themselves and for the everyday Americans, who are harmed in so many many ways by the hate-mongers.

Rest assured, the wheel of karma, both good and bad, catches up and bears fruit with those, whose thoughts, words, and deeds create effects.

and the nation didn't really take him seriously.

But he was taken seriously by the right wing. The comments below the following video by those supporting this policy say it all.

The Beach Boys are pretty decimated, but did they (and Brian Wilson is still around, regardless of shape (?) approve this? Is it in the public domain?

but the "Bomb Iran" - The Musical was just put up this month and credits "Bomb Iran (1980)" by Vince Vance And The Valiants.

However an earlier one with same lyrics was put up in 2008 on You Tube and is listed as Bomb Iran (Paul Shanklin) - seemingly attributing it to Paul Shanklin.

It's not uncommon to find parodies using popular songs and it doesn't seem to be encroaching on copyrights. I'm assuming this point because it's so common.

The fact that the common citizen would stand for these idiots to remain in office is one of the most pathetic things I think I have ever seen. These people are really fucked up in the head. They should never be allowed to rule over us.
