TYT: Yemen Falls : Temporary Capital Besieged, President Missing

"Cenk Uygur (http://www.twitter.com/cenkuygur) host of The Young Turks discusses the recent events in Yemen as rebel forces attempt to take over the middle eastern country.

Yemen has been locked in civil wars for close to a decade and for the last few months a rebel group has attempted to overthrow President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, the last democratically elected president in 2012. The rebels, led by Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, had placed Hadi under house arrest in late 2014. Hadi escaped the capital city and set up a temporary government in Aden. Aden has now fallen this week under heavy attacks by rebel fighters. It appears that Hadi and his top military commander are on the run.

The rebellion has been condemned by many world governments and groups, including the United Nations."

What does this mean? The symbol and the context. Will the Saudis take Yemen? Will that give them access to the sea?

I don't see that Yemen gives them much of strategic regional advantage. I suspect they care more about the threat of instability spreading from Yemen.

And who are friends with whom and who are the enemies, and who may be proxies? Thank you for your response.
