Papantonio: George W. Bush Helped Lower The Bar For Ted Cruz

He may be running for president, but Ted Cruz isn’t shying away from saying the most ridiculous things. In an interview with the Texas Tribune, Cruz discussed climate change and what he called ‘global warming alarmists.’

If the right-wing fringe and corporate America demand that Cruz gives us insane sound bites, then he is surely delivering. His latest was comparing climate change activists to ‘flat-earthers.’

So does everyone’s favorite wacko actually have a shot at the White House? America’s Lawyer, Mike Papantonio, discusses this with author Cliff Schecter.

The whackos have been crawling all over themselves since "I can see Russia from here" was allowed to be treated as a person.

It's almost a badge for them, and maybe it helps them get votes in a dumbed down USA. It seems it may be a race to the bottom.

I'm still floored that over 40 million people voted for Dubya not once, but twice. Now I know he didn't really win in 2000 and I have more than serious doubts about 2004, but still I find this astonishing. I mean the man talked like Norm Crosby but it wasn't an act. I'll never get enough of him screwing up the simple "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" saying. It's priceless.

It's like not so bright is good, brainy and big words are bad, you know, pointy headed liberals can't be trusted. I worked with a guy who was no brain surgeon and when I told him my take on Dubya back in 1999 he didn't disagree but said he liked it, he didn't trust really smart people. I suppose he really hated JFK and Carter.

And his only intention was to offend people with the most fucked up shit he could think of to say.

How would that entity sound different from the stalwart individual that he is?
