I am a relatively new fan of economics, but now am hooked, and realize how pivotal these times are, and how important it is to understand the policies, history and consequences of what we are all up against. It is a very rich subject, pardon the play on words, the history of which seems to play out over and over because we forget the lessons of the past, and so are bound and often led to repeat them.

What is fascinating to me also, is how clearly the ideals and personalities of some of these brilliant economists are laid bare during these talks. One cannot help but admire such men. They truly give us hope for the future, imho, and we ignore their knowledge and opinion at our own peril. I feel it is very important to watch what plays out with the EU, since as with all things, we are all connected in the big picture.
