There is a tipping point where your message that worked once upon a time no longer works. Fears of the past "international Communism", "inter racial marriage, "listening to rock music", "men with long hair", "signing up for the military draft" etc... When all you have is an appeal to fear and reaction you belong to a Party that entirely runs on fear, you represent the interests of those who are miniscule wealthy minority the day may come your formula no longer works. Rubio is a dull tool and maybe realizes he needs to look elsewhere for his fears and phobias. I suggest my sister in laws greatest single fear African American males with low riding pants he would surely get her vote (she has several mixed race nephews whom she really likes as long as they do not wear low pants I place this solidly in the category of an irrational fear).

Oh wait - they have an entire "news" network dedicated to their opinions. And last I checked, DirectTV had 25, repeat 25 channels dedicated to various forms of Christianity, whereas only a single network dedicated to LGBT opinions. Straight white Christians are safe for now.

How many "independents" who also support marriage equality will reject Republicans specifically because of their antediluvian views on this civil rights issue?

In other words, is this one issue, on which the Republican leadership has fixated, a big enough deal to turn the election in our favor?

The brain gets out-of-whack when one is severely dehydrated. It also gets out-of-whack when one is trying to appeal to the religious extremists in his party.

If you think that there should be laws depriving certain folks of the same rights, privileges and legal protections as you, you are not a hater.

If you disagree, you are an anti-Christian hater.

See how that works?

How about convicted spousal and child abusers? How about convicted violent criminals? How about philanderers? These are true "life style choices", why are they given equal protections to marry under the law?

Instead, they seek to deprive the creations of an Almighty God, who are following their natural instincts, of equal matrimonial rights.
