2. Whew! it's a powerful experience just watching this documentary.l

The middle aged adults who had experienced the experiment as 15 year olds were still profoundly affected by it.

I'm off to find the movie Die Welle. Hopefully it's on You Tube.

3. I'd heard about this in college in '68, but no one could explain it as anything but a nazi-style

experiment that got out of hand, and it was so eery and evil that it was to be forgotten about. So I did.

I'm glad that the whole story's been told, that other media have shown it, and now this documentary.

For six years I had a similar discussion with my film students after showing Leni Riefenstahl's "Triumph of the Will." I told them that Triumph ran in every movie house in Germany until the final days of the war, that the movie itself was used as a shared identity reinforcer across Germany.

Thanks for posting this.

4. We were shown this movie when I was in Jr. High

I never forgot the lessons from it.

5. What a lesson he taught them.

I had not heard of this before but I understand the lesson being taught...and recognize that we are all venerable in that way.
It's scary to think about.

6. This is a great lesson for all of us

In light of the presidential elections this is something to keep in mind.
We can be manipulated easier than you think.
