Related: About this forumBernie Sanders repsonds to Clinton's Sexism Slur
Class act. Much more forthcoming, honest, and presidential than Mrs. Clinton's response to her own comments.
She should apologize. She has an opportunity to run a campaign on the issues, and the ball is in her court. As things stand now, this is a great preview of how Mr. Sanders would run against a GOP opponent.

(8,175 posts)all linking to information he felt was important enough to share here. Do you have a problem with that?
Seems your first snide remark wasn't enough...now you accuse him/her of being a sock puppet?
It may be true...we could all be sock puppets...but if they are not insulting anyone...what is the problem?

(8,175 posts)Bernie is a class act. Hillary has tried, but she just can't resist playing in the gutter when it seems like an easy strike against her opponent.
I thought she started out great, but her history with Obama is starting to repeat itself.

(57,936 posts)A candidate (or anyone) is overly sensitive to criticism or very minor slights.
She/he gets really angry at some small thing like Bernie's use of the word "shout."
She/he talks to his/her friends or aides, employees, family about the slight that is angering her/him.
The people close to her/him (the candidate) commiserate. Oh Bernie should not have used the word "shout."
A number of people commiserate, sympathize to the point that the candidate begins to feel like a victim. The very minor hurt or misinterpretation of what an opposing candidate has said becomes magnified. It's sort of making a mountain out of a molehill.
Teenaged girls do this a lot. I was once a teenaged girl, and I had daughters. I recognize how this works.
Hillary gets sympathy from her close friends and assistants when she complains about some nonexistent insult that seems huge to her. Then she goes public with her hurt feelings. Makes her look like a poor me type to most of us who don't know much about her sensitive feelings.
This will blow over. My comments may hurt some feelings. Bernie's weren't serious enough to even cause a murmur. Mine? I'm seeing the big trend. It's one of Hillary's personality problems, and she will have to deal with it.
Her complaining is very unattractive and makes her look weak.
She should have made a joke of this if she felt it wasn't right. She is handling this so badly that it will reflect negatively on her when all is said and done.

(8,175 posts)And I agree, this only hurts her in the end...and it hurts the credibility of her supporters, who insist she is being "attacked" in some way.

(3,544 posts)The differences between Bernie and Hillary is 180 degrees. Policy, truth, and personality.
This is such a no brainer for most people, who actually want to represent and save our democracy.
No one is like Bernie. NO ONE!!!

(8,175 posts)He only said 'all the screaming and shouting' is not going to get anything done.
So no, he isn't addressing any one individual, he was addressing society's reaction to some of the horrible mass shootings that have taken place, and the trend of some voices in the news to go to extremes when they want to pass gun control laws that are unfair to many people who use guns responsibly, like in his state (a rural hunting state).
My position is pretty much on solid ground, not out on a limb. The limb crawlers are the ones trying to use anything they can to accuse Bernie of using a sexist statement directed at Hillary, when it's obvious to those of us on solid ground that he did nothing of the sort.
