Russian military reveals details of ISIS-Turkey oil smuggling

Russian Defense Ministry holds news briefing on new findings related to counter-terror activities - READ MORE http://on.rt.com/6y70

I guess we should be expecting some major investigation and sanctions from the State Department anytime .......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... .. ... .....now?

Oh well, who I am kidding, if there is any sanction being proposed it is more for the countries and groups fighting ISIS not the ones that enable terror.

1. Duma Underground again. what next, North Korean "news briefings" that Dear Leader invented pizza?

you've got to be kidding to even be posting this BS, jamzrockz. Go shove it onto "Creative Speculation" where it belongs (since DU doesn't have a "Pure Propaganda by Fascist Government" forum)

2. Don't know about North Korea

But wait a minute, this place is not called house of representative underground, how did you come up with the name Duma underground? But seriously, I see Russia as the garden snakes helping with my rat infestation (ISIS and whoever their supporters are, don't even wanna know). So just as long as they are causing trouble to the property destroying rats, the snakes will be welcomed in my home and heart.

This is the way I view Russia and Putin. Arial videos and pictures is enough to convince me and confirm my previous suspicion. Maybe the US and their buddy Turkey can debunk the evidence presented, but just attacking the messenger is not going to work anymore.

4. BS. If there's a shred of credibility to this report

it will be covered by real news agencies. Meanwhile, you're spreading propaganda & serving to legitimize the state media of a fascist gov. Stop it

9. I'm 'heartbroken' at the purposeful destruction and 'regime change' of sovereign nations that's

let horrific barbarians like IS and Boko Haram spread their seeds of violence across the ME and Africa, and not only the original loss of life from these needless, illegal acts of destruction, but the results of it all we're seeing today - so many casualties, and all 'heartbreaking'.

You seem to have no problem with it. Oh well.

10. Yup

People around these parts view the war on Libya as a success. They came, they saw and he died. Pay no attention to the carnage, death and destruction that came out of the intervention. We have the Syrian rebels, Boko haram running about with weapons looted from the country. A country that used to provide good quality jobs for 100ks of Non Libyan Africans is no longer there.

But hey, we came, we saw and he died, plus only 4 Americans died, so all must be good. Right?

11. This

I have to say that sometimes I sit and wonder if you are serious with some of the posts you make. You are so anti Russia that your whole worldview is seen through that lens. ISIS are bad guys and even if you hate Russia, you should at least be a little supportive of their fight against ISIS.

12. WTF? Putin is mostly NOT bombing ISIS

& I can't really believe you are as naive as you pretend to be.

Do you really think it's funny to use Putin's image in that way? Are you aware of the he represents?

It's time you tell us what you think of Putin and his gay-bashing anti-democratic regime.

Don't forget to mention
-the anti-gay laws and demonizing gays
-the deaths and imprisonment of journalists
-the deaths and imprisonment of liberals and opposition figures
-the dismantling of the independent media
-the "Nashi" Kremlin & crony sponsored Putin Youth of who harass & beat Putin opponents & those resisting shakedowns
-the talk of "New Russia" as part Russia expanding by taking over other countries
-Putin's theft of millions of rubles, starting with food aid money while St. Petersburg starved in the 1990s
-the neo-nazi gangs that terrorize gays, liberals, judges and journalists--and that has been tied to Putin's advisor

I'll be glad to provide links to any of these. Here's one, while we're waiting.

13. My take:

First, as soon as Western Europe basically let Greece stew in its own debt and poverty, i expected Russia to move in and try to grab a stake of Turkey and then eventually of Greece. That would serve Russia's geographical interest because Russia probably wants a free route to the Mediterranean and at least a little control or alliance with a country in Western Europe on the Mediterranean.

At the same time, I have been asking over and over where in the world ISIS is getting the money to fund its expansion across Syria and into neighboring countries.

I've heard Qatar and Saudi Arabia, and that may be true.

But the idea the ISIS is moving oil even if not extremely large quantities of oil to friends in Turkey is quite possible. Maybe there is creative speculation, but it is worth looking into.

When I think of false but very creative speculation, I think of Bush's claims of WMDs in Iraq under Saddam Hussein. This could be a similar claim on Russia's part. Same kinds of photos from the air and the same kind of difficulty in really having any idea as to what is in the trucks and what they are really doing.

But I think that the US government needs to respond to the Russian claims on this. Where does Turkey get its oil from? Is oil moving across the Turkish border from Syria and Iraq with money going to ISIS?

Creative speculation of this kind should be easy to debunk. I'm waiting. I want to know where ISIS gets its money. Because stopping the flow of money is the way to stop ISIS.

3. Right, the State Department will get right on this

But it might be to demonize Russia for telling the dirty secrets.
And the MSM will remain silent.

But that explains how ISIS could afford all those new Toyota trucks to drive around

14. Credible

We are being played by the Turks on this and many of us who supported Obama in 2008 and 2012 are thoroughly disillusioned with our foreign policy elite that he is working through.
