Deception divides communities ('Potter's paying 50 cents on the dollar...better to get half than nothing'.) That's a phrase I've heard too often this election season.

Social bonds are fragile and by no means guaranteed to overcome the Harry Potters among us who are relentless and remorseless. It takes the full strength of a community.

All the troubles of George Bailey's life remain (except that the community shares his burdens for a change).

However, the brighter side wins this one time: one man's life can impact so many others in so many good ways.

I love this movie.
