Better that money go to home grown cultivators and farmers and not to criminal gangs in both nations. It's too bad about the Mexican farmers, but in time they can switch to out-of-season fruits and vegetables for the more northern climes. Frankly, buy local extends to recreational herbs as well as foody herbs.
