1989: Ronald Reagan Advocates Background Checks, and Hints He's In Favor of Assault Weapons Bans.

Incidentally, the 'Stockton shooting' that the guy alludes to is referring to a 1989 shooting where a crackpot with an assault rifle killed a mere FIVE kids at a school. Crackpot school murderers these days make him look like a rank amateur.
