What I saw was the recognition that our idiotic actions, along with straight up blanket bigotry, has made things worse. But the violent militarism of fundamentalism, predates significant western colonialism by hundreds of years.

We need to do several things to enable a peaceful world. Allowing extremists and apologists to control the flow of information is NOT one of them.
