I never got if there was some "meaning" to the video (but admittedly always liked the tune and rhythm).

If a one finds anything about this I would be curious if there was a point or if it was just one of those weird MTV videos of the 1980s where they just seemed to throw anything together.

perpetuates stereo types. I know that was the 80's, but it still leads to stereotyping Asian people, and all those themes of that woman dressing up in a costume that no one sees, ( unless its a festival of some kind,) the Chinese sounding music that's supposed to represent Chinese people...its wrong on SO MANY LEVELS.
