Forgive the caps, but Senator Paul seems to have forgotten the whole phrase.

Health care is what gives us the right to life. Right-wingers think it is about abortion.

No. That is not what the Founding Fathers were thinking of. They did not want the government in Britain to have the right to deprive them of their lives. Our lives are endangered not so much by the threat that our government will arbitrarily kill us but rather that our economic system will exclude us from health care.

So, we are assured our "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness," Senator Paul, not just the pursuit of happiness. And universal healthcare is essential for fulfilling that promise.
