6. One of my co-workers had a similar psychotic break yesterday.

OMFG, it was freaky. I jokingly call him 'Ted' because he's a smarmy creepy liar just like Carnival Cruz ... he 'served' in the National Guard (cough was never deployed but is all Hoo-Rah Yay Military) several years ago and well ... yesterday something snapped. Went on a rant about "we've got a new government" and "we're taking over" and was waving some laminated ID card in everyone's face. Ended up being escorted out of the office by the local authorities, is banned from the property but still to this moment apparently emailing, texting and calling our mgr & his boss with indirect threats. Scary thing is, this fuckwit has weapons. And an estranged wife who is trying her damndest to leave him.

The militias in Nevada stared down the Feds with guns and nothing happened to them. They interfered in a government enforcement and got away with it.
This embolden them to take it to the next level, thinking the Feds would also let them get away with it. All militias that are looking for their 15 minutes of fame are looking at how this situation is playing out. If they would have gotten away with this, then it would open the flood gates for others to join in the fun.
