and criminal justice reform is quite interesting. I didn't know that in Florida 31% of black males can't vote. As Thom Hartmann points out, denying 90,000 black people the right to vote handed us George W. Bush as president. It's a travesty that should be corrected. Non-violent crimes should be downgraded so they aren't felonies. And as in Vermont, if you're an American citizen you should be allowed to vote regardless of whether you're a felon. This remnant of the 'war on drugs' should be overturned in every state.
