It's amazing how important some of these idiots think they are when their message has zero traction other than with a handful of nut-burgers. I am wondering why he wasn't up there if he is such a tough guy?

(111,245 posts)these same guys splintered off from the stodgy, intellectual SDS to form revolutionary cells to destroy the mean old gummint that wanted them to get their candy asses shot off. They were just as effective back then.
I think you know you've lived a long life when the movie keeps starting over.

(28,928 posts)No doubt the Gov. needs to be watched but by his demeanor and misdirection, like most of these types he seems to suffer from some kind of paranoia and illusions of grandeur. Having a YouTube channel with 1,000 insane followers agreeing with him can't be good for his humility or ability to reason. He is simply going to keep going further and further off the deep end until he ends up like Lavoy Finicum.

(18,998 posts)Got as far as when he wanted to restore the land to the people...it made me want to scream out...you mean the people we stole it from?...the native Americans?
No he means the ranchers who have been using it for years and think they own it.
These people create a mythology and then believe it is fact.

(85 posts)This is the guy spreading a video around accusing the BLM of burning cows and homes in Malheur County. The video was hijacked from Lars Larson's FB page by Gavin. He added a beginning section of Ammon Bundy and deleted the date and fire name from the video from its original recording. The fires shown in the video are the Long Draw and Miller Homestead fires near Frenchglen, OR. Both fires were caused by lightning on July 8th, 2012.

They claim every branch of the Gov. is in cahoots and is constantly lying to us but typically they are the worst offenders because they want more hits and more power.

(86,534 posts)It just popped into my head that way.
For most of you, these type of loonies don't live near you, be thankful. I live with this type of nonsense oozing from the mouths of some of my neighbors and coworkers, there are lots who will say the same crap but not act out on it, and then there are the ones for which you cannot tell.

(51,129 posts)But I really enjoyed the long pauses between words. It seems like his brain is trying to think, but just can't ever get off the ground, and then he blurts another word and pauses for effect because it had more than one syllable, I presume. For his audience, I'm sure this slow, excruciating technique helps a lot, more time to imagine what belief the word matches best.

(5,376 posts)I take it he's not over in Burns, ready to take up arms against those officials who are enforcing the legal rights of those who'd like Bundy's idiots to get off the people's land and give us back the right to visit, enjoy and support the Malheur Refuge. Reasonable human beings would be awestruck with what's around them, the beauty and purpose of the Refuge, and the work that's gone into assuring it is preserved and accessible to all. Reasonable human beings would not want that destroyed for the sake of their so-called "freedom". Do these "revolutionaries" ever breathe in the scent of sage that permeates the air in that extraordinarily beautiful and peaceful part of Southeastern Oregon? Do they take the time to watch the sun rise and set in all its glory, gaze in wonder at the stars visible in that clear and cloudless sky above them? Do they bother to study the history of that area, and how the refuge came to be set aside for the protection of the environment and the enjoyment and appreciation of the public? I'm guessing, no, they're too fixated on "taking back their land" and letting the rest of us pick up the tab for the wreckage they leave in their wake.
Call me a Desert Rat--it's my thing and as an Oregonian, I'm grateful for that incredible part of my state that welcomes us to soak in the beauty and wonder that awaits us there. Portland author Ursula Le Guin wrote a book of poetry, Out Here, dedicated to Harney County, in which she penned the following:
PEACE IN HARNEY COUNTY
rests in the line of a long, low mountain, blue against blue,
hangs in the meeting of willow and image of willow in water,
describes all the sky with the vulture's rapturous, languorous circle,
sleeps in a whitening deerbone in dust at the fall of the rimrock.
Peace is the form and the meeting, the soaring, the sun on the bone.
***
May there be peace in Harney County soon. Oh, and I want my Refuge back.
Blessings.

They are legends in the making in their own minds. While sorry the guy had to be killed, everyone is happy it's just about over.
But for YouTube nobody these asses wouldn't be able to annoy with their ceap.
