(5,902 posts)I've met a few that are really astounding, although you typically have to go overseas to find them because here in the U.S. the really good ones (which, again, are few) are already in the employ of executives, intelligence, or politicians.
That said, they ones I've met all agree on this: that while truly clairvoyant psychics can see the past (sometimes down to fine detail), the future, as they themselves concede, is much harder to see because we can change our minds and thus change certain outcomes.

"Psychics" are either self-deluded, ("I got powers! You can't tell me otherwise!" or simply frauds. ("For xxx amounts of $$$, I'll tell the future!"
Every single one is a fake.

(5,902 posts)The really good ones can give you a lot of insight into past events, especially those that still influence you to this day. It can really be worth your time, if you find a talented one (typically overseas).
The future, as they themselves concede, is much more difficult to see even for the most talented among them.

(46,325 posts)Either by someone who is deluded or a fraud.
Past events can easily be looked into, heck, just read a history book.
But every time, and I do mean EVERY time a "psychic" is asked to show some actual evidence of their "powers," they fail.
Every time.

(5,902 posts)If someone tells me they're looking into my past, and mention generalities or perhaps something fairly obvious, that would be one thing. If I had been referring to something like that, you would be right.
If I brought up specific events in your life, or in those closest to you, that I would have no way of knowing from a causal conversation with you, that would be something else wouldn't it. All the more so if I explained to you how they are still impacting you, or why a specific fork in your life turned out one way and not the other (something I'd have no way of knowing).
Look, as I pointed out in my first response here, I agree with you that many "psychics" really are frauds. I'm certainly not denying that.
But it would be a mistake to say that all such people are frauds; trust me, not all are.

Sure, yet when I challenge them?
Insults, evasions, everything but any evidence.
They all are frauds. Some actually believe in their own "powers," far more are in it for the $$$.

When I travel overseas, I usually take time out to see one. While many use Tarot cards, the truly visionary ones don't seem to need anything at all other than your presence. Women are usually the best, in my experience.
Some are frauds, it's true; but they always give it away almost immediately.
Thanks for sharing, 840high. It's good to be open minded; skeptical, but open minded.

She probably makes a comfortable living charging for her "readings."
