If I am not mistaken, this was a speech Hitler held in 1941, right after war broke out with the Soviet Union in June 1941, and before Rudolf Hess made his infamous trip to Scotland, trying to make peace with the UK, as Hess fortune in the Party, and in the circle around Hitler had been lesser than it was before - Hess was example never in the inner circle, specially when it came to waging a war against the Soviet Union - his political fortune had been faltering for a year and a half - and for Hess, the trip to Scotland was a kind of "last dash resort" to make sure his position in the inner circle survived - as Goering had been a close ally of Hitler since WW2 broke out in Poland when Germany invaded the country in 1939.. Even if Hess was nr 2 in the party, after Hitler, but before everyone else - his position was not so secure - and it was all ready then rumored that Goering might replace Hess... But as i was, Hess was using his flying skills, and was able to fly to Scotland, even if he crash landed on landing - he was still "training" as a pilot when he took off in 1941 - and ended up in british prison - and the only reason he was no given the same penalty as Goering and 12 others at Nuremberg, was because Hess was not accomplished into what happened after Hitler invaded the Soviet Union - the surviving document proved he had little or nothing with the start of hostilities in the Soviet Union - and specially not the many crimes who should be the hallmark of what Germany did in the Soviet Union later....
