Also on the sidebar is a video I'm going to check out with Norm Chomsky in it:

Pax Americana and the Weaponization of Space

We have to learn and understand what the USA has been doing, what we truly want.

Here in TN you can spend $20,000 to $30,000 to put in solar panels and the TVA and the corporate power monopoly will buy your excess solar power at premium prices. And they will give you $1,000 to do it. Isn't that wonderful, if you have $20,000 to $30,000 just sitting around, you can put in solar panels and get pay back on your investment in about 16 years.

Or, and here is a really useless idea, you can add $4.00 a month more to your electric bill and then the TVA and the corporate power monopolies promise to buy a rich guy's excess solar power for you. Now isn't that just hunky dory?

Wow, with ideas like that we should be on solar power in about 200 years.

I guess if the Pentagon were supporting solar power we may get more intelligent ideas...or maybe not.
