Related: About this forumTrump Gets Surprisingly Warm Reception at AIPAC
I was pretty surprised actually - started out mild and grew pretty fervent as his talk continued. He also got some laughs about appearing to undersell his 'Art of the Deal' book. And his biggest applause line with scattered standing ovations began '...With President Obama in his final year... Yay!' He went on, 'He may be the worst thing to ever happen to Israel... believe me, believe me. And you know it... you know it better than anybody.'

OP
This surprises you? He's the leader for the republican nomination. AIPAC is going to love him.

They want him in Israel's corner.

You'd think they'd laugh him out of the building

They aren't going to alienate the likely republican nominee. How could you think that was even a possibility?

I would think they'd want to show their dissatisfaction with what the GOP is offering them up so they can try to pick someone different in a contested convention who can truly help their cause.

Trump's bully-bloviating must sound like sweet music to Israel.
