That was WONDERFUL! I love that woman who kept yelling, "Leave him alone!" She really rallied the audience. Then others started yelling things. One thing I caught was, "Go arrest Helen Purcell!" (the county recorder who oversaw the massive vote suppression, then blamed it on the voters).

Many in the crowd were shouting, "He didn't do anything!" (the guy they were trying to arrest).

Can you explain more about the situation, BigBearJohn?

That's all I could pick up. The folks in the gallery were attending an AZ State capital house session...what for? To observe a discussion about the vote suppression? To protest the vote suppression? According to the crowd, they hadn't disrupted anything, and it's not clear at all why the cops targeted that one guy.

Anyway, for MAKING A GREAT NOISE about their votes being taken away--many thousands of votes--this ENDED UP being a great protest, cuz, you know, the cops work for a political establishment that hates voters. But political establishments who hate voters are basically stupid, and the cops played into that stupidity. I feel kind of sorry for the cops. They always get caught in the middle. It's the ratfuckers down on the floor of the AZ state house who are responsible--and also the Clinton campaign for capitalizing on Republican ratfuckery of the voters, and SAYING NOTHING and DOING NOTHING. They knew this was going to happen--vast disenfranchisement of same-day voters. They run the DNC which is supposed to prevent shit like this. They got the early vote wrapped up before voters knew there was a good alternative to Clinton. (Same day voters had time to research the candidates.) And they just let this massive disenfranchisement unfold.

This is WHY AZ called this primary for Clinton with only 1% of precincts reporting! This is WHY there was such a lopsided vote for Clinton in early voting and for Sanders in same-day voting! This is WHY the results were so weird! Clinton USING Republican vote suppression to win!

I'm so proud of these Arizonans for mobilizing and protesting! They are demanding a RE-VOTE. They are right to do so. And we should all support them.

I just saw part of the hearings that were taking place elsewhere with thousands of people in attendance--all with stories of disenfranchisement. The most poignant was the president of a student association who reported on a U.S. soldier, a woman, with recent service overseas, who came back only to be robbed of her vote!

The hearing was clearly being used to bleed off the energy of these outraged voters with promises of "looking into it." Yeah, right. (Like Clinton and her speeches to Goldman Sachs!) But I don't think these disenfranchised people are going to put up with the stall.

RE-VOTE NOW!

"One arrested as crowd in House gallery protests voting snafus"--Arizona Capital Times headline (my emphasis)

Even the moderator of the bleed-off-the-revolutionary-energy hearing called the AZ primary "a disaster."

MASSIVE disenfranchisement is NOT "snafus."
