I actually don't believe it or believe it can be replicated in the US. If you raise the cost of labor by more than 300%, there is no way the price of the foods can remain the same. It would have been nice to see how the kitchen works.

Also does it mean their value meal items are less than $1

The CNN reporter says that a Big Mac in Denmark is cheaper than in the U.S.

Do you have a link to prove you're right and the CNN reporter is wrong?

While waiting for your response, I did my own research and found the following.

Cost of a Big Mac in U.S. dollars in January 2016
Denmark: $4.32
United States: $4.93 (a bit over 14% more)

The Big Mac Index is a creation of The Economist, which has been maintaining the index for thirty years.

Here's the latest data from the people who compile it:
