of us on the bottom have watched what our state parties have been doing in the election of committees (slates of candidates chosen by existing leaders) to run our parties we are doing the same thing on the bottom.

At our district convention a group of "leaders" worked in a separate room to recommend these slates and when they are offered to the delegates vote they are unopposed and for the most part unknown. The "Ies" have it in one vote.

The National Convention is even worse. This rules committee was selected by the DNC. Hopefully at the convention Bernie will have his own "slate" to challenge all the really important committees. Rules, etc.

Heads up Bernie supporters demand real change at your convention. That is where it has to start.

10. I've been a Democrat all my life and I've been around over 60 years

And the Democratic Party is leaving me. Real Progressives should have a voice, and for a lot of us Bernie is helping that happen. Barney Frank doesn't represent my thinking. My time (considerable) spent on the State level Democratic Platform committees over the past 5 years will be wasted if Bernie supporters aren't represented on the National Platform Committee. Get the lobbyists out of the party hierarchy.

delegates.

When it comes time to decide what to do with her pledged delegates, it looks to me like they will be "reassigned" rather than simply released. The Rules Committee decides who gets what at the Convention. Rules and Platform will be headed by one man, Barney Frank. Wow. I remember when he was a rumpled Freshman Congressman from Newton, MASS who was considered by many to be an iconoclast and solidly Left.

The party and election laws and procedures need a major overhaul.

I've heard him interviewed a few times over the past year. He always trashes Bernie and Sanders' supporters.
I assume the Democratic convention will be "Fair and Balanced".
