but they put the Postal Service in a position where they must try anything to meet the requirements of the poison pill. This guy is full of caca!

Clearly, the GOP is trying to FORCE the USPS to go under! I don't know what their exact scheme is, but the GOP are clearly conniving at destroying OUR Constitutionally guaranteed United States Postal Service! I am so glad that Thom Hartmann is publicizing this~!

so they can claim "see government services are so bad because of the socialism! let's cut it some more!". They do it with the Post office because it's a public facing agency that most everyone has interacted with. And they want people to have a bad experience so as to reduce popular support for the agency.

They know they would be exposed if they tried this nonsense with social security or veterans benefits.

so they can sell the business to UPS or FedEx. Should they get their way a letter will cost god knows what to go across town.

I don't think FedEx or UPS would want to be anywhere near that deal.

Their infrastructure isn't really designed to do what the post office does. They are pretty happy doing what they do I think.

then the infrastructure would already be in place.

This is their grand scheme.

in privatizing it, there is something there worth stealing. Those prefunded retirement benefits will fit nicely in someones pocket.

The most of employees in the Post Office are union. Taking down such a huge union and offering the responsibility of mail service to corporations is what the Republicans are after.

I'd like to see the Postal System redevelop their public banking. So, I would think that they fear a challenge to the Banksters, and you know you don't get to mess with Daddy.

Hmm, 2 new signups minutes apart. Now that's not interesting at all.
