Hillary Clinton in Brooklyn: We Are All Standing Under A Glass Ceiling

(With a few glitchy seconds.)

I like the reference to the women and men of Seneca Falls.

"...We owe so much to those who came before, and tonight belongs to all of you..."

Somehow that doesn't seem like HRC. And I think it will be more like Bill's..not ratified, or whatever, even with a Republican Congress. More to satisfy their blood thirst or revenge...for what I don't quite know.

ability to draw undecideds, outgroups and opponents over to the party's goals and vision. The Republicans can most definitely loathe someone more than they do Hillary. So yeah, impeachment insurance.

As Obama says, don't complicate this. It's not that complicated.

Republicans are simple, and we can easily show them who they'll have to deal with if they try to kick a veteran politician out of office. Too many of them have respect for politics to try that. They know all that shitty politics of spite stuff is played out because even they loathe their own candidate their politics produced.

You're the best candidate I've ever supported, and you'll continue to be our voice in Congress.

Ahead, there are glass ceilings to smash. (sniff)

Let's go.

...is such as this. It is to be expected I suppose - good people are not always the first to make it to the top. I for one will not be proud that she is the first woman to be President.

This is not about me being anti - woman - for pete's sake I am a woman. A woman who has fought for equal rights and lived through shitty times. I have organized peace marches and Choice protests.

Sad the implied "if she was a man you wouldn't dislike her" bullshit. The truth is she is a Hawk and does not believe for one moment that same sex couples should marry or have children. Sure she evolved for today - tomorrow who knows who she will say should "be brought to heel".

Sorry this is about Hillary....not anti-woman rhetoric.

I'm trying to see a woman who now answers to no one. Has the range of space to think, not react, not adapt.

I'm going to think, for now, until I'm shown otherwise, that past performance is no guarantee of future results.

Seriously, we do not know what can now happen.

I'm hoping she'll undo much of the unintended consequences her hubz's neolib signings that caused too much suffering to the country. There will be big efforts in Philadelphia to make sure she really means these speeches.

If BErnie turns sour on everything, I'll know that he knows more than he can tell, and will take all this attempt at unity back. Because I want her to be with the people more than I want them to be with her.

We are all tired. It has been a long fight. We did good and should be proud.

I am personally a little scared about her being President. Hoping I am wrong and that her words tonight have some meaning.

I fear for our Party as well. I wish we really stood for Social Security, Peace and the rights of all.

Have a good night!
