This happened Sunday..Tammy is a double amputee from the Iraq War. She is running against Walsh in Illinois 8th Congressional District. Walsh is a teabagger asshole who never served.

3) Without her military record, Duckworth has less to run on than Walsh.

She went into combat zones knowing that her life was subject to the vagaries of war. The reason why she survived at all is that the military takes very seriously the rehabilitation of those wounded in action. Many find their way into government.

This, Tammy has done, as did former GA senator Max Cleland, as did former MI governor John Swainson. Nobody would have dared maligned Swainson for his military service, regardless of his limb removal.

But, it seems that losing limbs is a very bad thing these days, if you are a Democratic candidate.

I cannot fathom what the fuck these idiots are about. All the more, I think it is all hateful rubbish. I, Joe Walsh, have all my limbs. Do you really want somebody who can't even walk like us normal folks? it is the sote voce message. It is, like much of the Republican message, unbridled hate of what is not "normal", meaning white, male, healthy, etc.
