But it's not really forced down my throat for two reasons. First, I cut my cable several years ago so Fox News isn't on my TV. Second, if it's on someone else's TV, I either politely change the channel or use my headphones to listen to some good music.

fight it out? Some truth usually comes out of contradictions. If that's the only way they
know, let them have a go at it.

So far Democrats seem to be not capable or not interested in having nationwide news
media that tell the truth -- the way journalists used to do in the past.

Trump said Atlantic City went down so he did, but Trump's lying. He went down before the other casinos. He skimmed off millions of dollars of other people's money. The man is a fraud.

It's it the only instance of Trump scamming. Let him start this "network." Do yourself a favor and don't invest in it.

And he does have a solid slice of the electorate (what? less than 1/2 Republican primary voters), but it will take hundreds of millions of dollars to sustain a network. I don't think there enough angry, ignorant followers that will chip in to keep it going. What will they watch? Donald Trump 24/7? Will he broadcast educational content from Trump University? Maybe restart the "Tour de Trump" bicycle races so he can have a sport to himself? After following his tawdry exploits in the local papers for almost 40 years (he LOVES publicity, but I guess that goes without saying) with full knowledge that he starts and crashes businesses regularly, I don't any faith that he can pull it off because I don't believe he is as rich as he claims to be.

It's too much work for him. He loves the attention and the ego bloating, but he doesn't want to have to give anything in return.

I'd not be surprised at all if this was all about inflating himself and starting a TV network, where he can get the adoration he so thinks he deserves. Heck, with his own network, he can have his own show running all the time.

He should have gone into religion...he's no different than any televangelist raking in the bucks for nothing but the attention he so craves.

Narcissistic idiot and fraudster.

I am not sure that he even wants the job. He doesn't seem to have assembled a group of advisers on national matters such as the economy and foreign policy. I don't think he could stand to do a job which requires working with a Congress that won't just do his bidding, let alone foreign leaders who will not be inclined to cooperate with him on anything. He can't be stupid enough to think that being president is an easy job--no one thinks that.

I think that this may be just another money-making scheme of his. That explanation fits with the fact that he keeps saying outrageous things despite the fact that his poll numbers are falling.

I hope I am right; otherwise he is truly dangerously delusional as well as a demagogic buffoon.

with a TV network or even a magazine, he would be able to perpetuate his racism and keep himself in the spotlight. There are enough of his racist followers to keep it going. They really, really want to make the country white only. I sincerely believe that every single Trump supporter is a racist at heart, whether they would admit it or not. Many would be right at home in 1930's Germany.

I have cousins who support him. They have become more racist than when we were kids, and, at the same time, have become more and more religious and antiscience. It boggles the mind. The main thing I hear from them is: Why do we support immigrants and not Americans who need it? They have many misconceptions about immigrants and immigration. It's an "us or them" mentality. They can't get it into their heads that the 1% are the ones keeping us down. Fox News watchers - all of them.

followers will get tired of him and rather quickly. His routine is rather redundant and after the initial shock value wears off, he becomes just plain boring. He really has no inherent charisma and is terribly unattractive. If he wasn't so narcissistic, he might make a mediocre comedian. He could go on the road making fun of Obama and Hillary, but when the heckling starts, thin-skinned Trump will go ballistic!

This man has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. He is a terrible business man and an overall horrible human being. I look forward to the day when I don't see his nasty face every time I turn on the TV.

The KKK? Gun manufacturers and especially hateful preachers come to mind...but Trump viewers would be such a narrow target market. Let's be honest here, any of them are low income people so it's hardly a coveted market for advertisers.

for his asinine campaign, OR actually becomes president under false pretenses, he should be charged with interfering with the election process and have to return those donations that were given to him even after being told he was paying his own way. (I doubt he has actually paid many of those bills.) What about all the free publicity he has received from the media? I guess that if they were dumb enough to fall for his scheme, so be it.

He is an unbelievable con. He has never come up with any policy changes or plans to move the country forward, has he? One positive thing about this is that all the millions donated by the RW and corporations to all those clowns on the stage went down the tubes and left the main clown still standing. I suppose he could always say he TOLD everyone he was financing his own campaign, so if anyone was dumb enough to contribute, tough! At least the Koch brothers were smart enough to keep their hands in their pockets and not donate any more.

The campaign isn't reality TV and should not be treated as such. Perhaps a little prison time would bring The Donald to his senses.

This was all just a way to keep him name in the media. It was classic Trump brand management.

A funny thing happened along the way. The more outrageous and offensive he got, the more POPULAR he became with Republicans.

I believe he never even gave this a serious thought until maybe 60 days ago. And that thought was something like "Son of a ----, I can say anything and I get free publicity. I would rather make money then have to waste time running the country. But if I do get elected, there must be lots of ways to turn that into money. Hmmm. let's think ..."

this means he doesn't take his job (running for President) seriously.

Most ninth graders would take it more seriously than he is.

Totally unfit but very consistent with the Republican meme -- "All that matters is that you have more money than others!"
