emotive gestures when Democrats made a great point and saying real people don't feel this way it is only in the Washington -LA bubble or some such things. Meant to cause anxiety that viewers are no longer with the herd and that you can't believe your lying eyes. I wonder if gaslight ing is going to be the GOP tactic this election season. After all they love the tactics of psychopaths.

To paraphrase: I am 71 years old and have lived in this country for 71 years (except for when I was deployed fighting for this country when I did need my guns) and no one has entered my house to try to kill me.

I don't own guns to defend myself I owns guns to go hunting.

...into the light. He is one of us,, even if he doesn't want to admit it.

Who the hell is Emily Miller? I have somehow missed out on being exposed to her. Kinda wish that were still the case.

The point isn't the crime the point is that instead of 1 or 2 dead there are 4 or 5 or 25 or 10 or 49.

should not complain. Entertainment even though it contains more factual information than the news.

I guess he lives in a nicer area - I've had my house burglarized twice while I slept, my car stolen twice out of the driveway, and found someone staring in my window from my back yard at 2AM as I used the computer.

I don't have a gun, but his argument isn't really correct that no one needs them for self-defense.

I easily could have and it probably would be a good idea.

(I later realized who was behind the burglaries, which stole about $5,000 of mostly electronics, a young career criminal woman drug addict who had targeted me and I'd tried to help on occasion with a ride or burger when asked.

It was crazy where she would show up at 2AM and beg to sleep there and I'd lose my night's sleep watching her on the couch sleep because I didn't trust her an inch for obvious reasons. Ya, should have realized early the connection, and not allowed that anyway.)

When I finally did realize it, I was able to finally get her arrested for stealing someone else's car - and I told the DA to try to keep her off the streets, she was going to do nothing but more crime. They didn't listen she got 90 days.

Months later, I saw in the paper she had been arrested again for leading police on a high speed chase, in a stolen truck, ending up with her crashing the truck upside down on top of another vehicle in a driveway. While pregnant. With drugs (heroin I think).

At least she got 4 years for that one.

But turns out there are whole criminal networks. One time there was a suspicious guy on my closed street on a bicycle I confronted about why he was there, he was hostile, I got in my car and followed him a bit indicating he was being watched.

He got on his cell phone and soon after a man about 40 met him who was clearly some sort of criminal contact and tried to be threatening.

The next day there was a knock at my door and a third guy, a young Hispanic man, was there and screaming profanity and threatening about not messing with his friends, wearing some sort of gang jacket and saying he was 'Diablo'.

No, the idea that home defense isn't a need isn't a good argument.

(The guy I caught in my back yard at 2AM, I got to meet in the front yard where he told an absurd story about trying to talk about buying a car on the street and getting the wrong house. He got away to burglarize more, no violence happened.)

The girl's street name? "Psycho". When I realized she had burglarized I did a little detecting and quickly found other criminal contacts, one was happy to talk because she had not paid him back $20, where she had been a regular as a crack house later boarded up.

I found they're con artists - trying to ingratiate themselves with people with things like sob stories about how their boyfriend beats them and they're trying to get off drugs, and using any access given to plan burglaries, at least.

I'll have to defend Hillary's use of the word 'super-predators' for a small number of people.

(I don't live in a terrible area, either. )

I don't like the idea of shooting someone, but there are dangers and I don't blame people who keep guns for defense in their homes.

(The time I got her arrested for car theft, she had come by in the stolen vehicle to ask for gas money, and got very loud and profane as I stalled. She had a friend with her who was another young woman she'd met in prison.

Bizarrely she claimed her friend was her cousin who couldn't talk - she didn't want any interference in her con.

Her friend pretty clearly seemed to try to get her to leave, so when I had the police come, I took the friend 'to get gas' so she wouldn't also be arrested.

The owner of the vehicle came by to pick it up - and he turned out to be a customer who bought drugs from her regularly.)

He does a lot that's clueless or offensive, and a lot that's very good.

When I watch, it's in spite of him for the guests, not because of him, more than not.
