They knew from the beginning of the Benghazi incident that there was no wrong doing on her part. They were setting up crap to keep her from the WhiteHouse. Now they look like a bunch of fucking assholes.

I could understand if there was an honest thought that maybe there was some wrongdoing, investigated, maybe asked some questions of people under oath, found nothing and let it go at that.

But when they accuse people of shit of stuff they are innocent of, and keep going in order to make things into a political witch hunt, that's when the 47 badger thinks they really ought to pay back the taxpayers for all the money they spent on said witch hunts.

Not sure I've ever seen a more partisan or unprofessional collection of press releases from a supposed "bi-partisan" comitee. When I look at a .gov website with a headline that starts with #dishonestdems, how am I supposed to take that seriously? Aparently they don't even care for keeping up appearances anymore.

I saw him on the news this morning, dodging and weaving.

He reminded me of this "I never said that" guy (Martin Short as Nathan Thurm):

SNL should ask Marty Short to guest host and have him do a Gowdy bit.

Not one of the media ask him that question. It is not about fixing a potential issue. Its ALL about defeating Clinton. Grody stands straight face and denies his investigation has anything to do with Clinton.

It's remarkable how Gowdy stepped in and filled the shoes so well that he made folks forget about the one who started this whole mess. Only after he flew so far off the deep end that even his GOP buddies knew he had to go, did they replace him with Gowdy.

Could it be director of the CIA who had a honey squeeze talked too much? There is probably more to this story not involving the Secretary of State, maybe a CIA operation gone sour.

Sure didn't hear anything critical of the Republicans. It was more along the lines of Hillary and Obama bashing. "Not quick enough response", "Not enough concern shown", etc. etc.

About what I've come to expect from the Koch brothers funded PBS...

"The report provides conclusive evidence that the Clinton State Department granted the many requests for extra security made by the embassy, debunking the false narrative made by right-wing conspiracy theorist radio hosts, and most recently by presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, who claims that "Ambassador Stevens and his staff in Libya made hundreds and hundreds of requests for security..They were desperate..They needed help...
Hillary Clinton's State Department refused them all."

The truth is that House Republicans cut the funding for embassy security by $128 million in fiscal year 2011 and $331 million in fiscal year 2012, placing the blame for the attack's success on their own shoulders.
In 2011, a year before the attack, Clinton herself had warned that the embassy budget cuts were "detrimental to America's national security" -- and House Republicans ignored her warnings.

investigated the presumptive presidential nominee of the Republican Party in this manner, the howls and screeches from the right would have blanketed media 24/7 until the democrats caved and the republicans were hooting, throwing shit, and thumping their chests in celebration.

Let's face it.
There is so much enmity and absolute bile being stockpiled up against Mrs. Clinton that if we don't replace s(h)itting members of Congress in November, we're looking at gridlock and obstruction that will make President Obama's challenges seem mild by comparison. And we all know how the past seven years have been.

The answer will be motivating voters and getting them to the polls, and vote "down-ticket." The GOTP see$ this, and are doing everything they can to disenfranchise Dem-leaning voters.
At the national, state, county and precinct levels.
Their efforts cannot be allowed to succeed.
The consequences are far too important. We need to elect forward-thinking Democratic candidates at every level.

• Write a check (or make a credit card or smart-phone donation).
• Volunteer to canvass via telephone for our candidates.
• Attend campaign events and show your enthusiasm.
• Volunteer to drive voters to polls on Election Day.

Do. What. It. Takes.

P.S. My older brother would faint if he saw this reply; he's been a Hillary fan from the get-go, and I've been -- and continue to be -- a Sanders supporter. We're both Civil War historians, because our great-grandfather served in Kentucky's First Volunteer Union unit. However, on this point we agree: there's too much at stake in the 2016 elections.
Hey, we're Kentuckians!
