Both parties are against Trump...simply put he would not be able to get anything done.
The country will be at a stand still...

All things considered, I would agree it's game over or nearly so in 4-8 years. There will be no recovery. Once the courts cement the fascist agenda, it will be Nero and some last thrashing, floundering idiots after that. I hope I'm wrong.

It is indeed better to be skeptical than be lulled by wishful thinking. Still, I find it hard to believe that Trump would be worse than Dubya and his clique of treasonous (and larcenous) neocons.

May we not have to find out if he is.

Trump, thanks to his fragile ego, lasting as long as Sarah lasted as Gov. of Alaska. He will fold his tent and run when he learns the "Buck Stops Here." Thanks, Harry!

... We will a survive President Trump (which became more probably with Comey's indictment of HRC's judgement). What we won't survive (as a democratic republic) is a cynical acceptance of the corruption of money in elections and governance. Whatever he is, Trump will be a disrupter of the current political system. HRC will try to cement it. Either one will be awful, it's just a matter of who quickly a political reaction will happen.
