Nice. It brought a memory back to me. During the day, in the beginnings of the Iraq war, for over the period of six years we had a peace vigil twice a week in our village. One day a father brought his young son, I guess maybe nine or ten years old over and asked if the youngster could stand with us. He usually went to Scouts with his father and other brother on that evening but the boy always wished he could join the peace line instead. It was such an inspiration to all of us oldsters on the line. We moved over with smiles and a protective wing because even in a small town there are folks that feel threatened by peace. Brave dad to leave his son and an honorable young man for following his heart. He joined us often over the summer. He would be in his early twenties now. I guess he has always lived in a country that wages war.
