The Curse of Cain

&feature=youtu.be

This is a video I made that scares me. The song is written from the point of view of John Wilkes Booth who believed he bore the mark of Cain for killing Lincoln. I found it haunting with echoes to current events. In my old Bible school days, some people at times claimed the sons of Ham (Noah's outcast son) were dark skinned and others even went so far as to say they married the daughters of Cain as if to suggest that skin color was the curse of Cain. If this is so, we have all been cursed by our own blindness to the truth. We as a nation bear the curse of Cain.

It is disheartening to wake up to new atrocities every day. I am haunted by the cries of Diamond Johnson, and her child's attempts to comfort her mother after police murdered her boyfriend in front of her eyes. A four-year-old child subjected to that! I do not know how any person's heart wouldn't break at hearing their voices.

And while I do not condone killing police officers, I understand how the shooter must have felt. The curse of Cain indeed.
